I wrote, directed and edited this short after a trip to Los Angeles’ Getty Museum. I saw an exhibition on the Virgin Mary in Latin America, discovered the early work of Uta Barth and listened to Incubus.

St. Teresa is an example of a more visceral spirituality and I thought it be interesting to script the video with her actual words. I was also inspired by John Waters’ Multiple Maniacs to make a religious film that felt very DIY.
